Dosage
Oral. Adultos: Inicio: 6 mg/kg de peso corporal, seguidos por 2 a 3 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 4 horas (2 dosis). Sostén 1 a 3 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 8 a 12 horas. Niños de 6 meses a 9 años: Inicio: 6 mg/kg de peso corporal, seguidos por 4 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 4 horas (3 dosis). Sostén: 4 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 6 horas. Oral. Adultos: 100 mg cada 24 horas.
General information
Inhibe la fosfodiesterasa, enzima que degrada al monofosfato de adenosina cíclico y por ello tiene un efecto relajante del músculo liso bronquial, reduce la resistencia vascular pulmonar y facilita la contractilidad del diafragma.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
Ancianos, cor pulmonale, insuficiencia hepática o renal, hipertiroidismo, diabetes mellitus.
Adverse effects
Náusea, vómito, anorexia, diarrea, urticaria, palpitaciones, taquicardia, bochorno e hipotensión arterial, mareos, cefalea, insomnio y convulsiones.
