Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 100 mg cada 24 horas en una sola toma.
General information
Inhibe la actividad de la cinasa BCR-ABL y de las kinasas de la familia SRC junto con otras cinasas oncogénicas específicas incluyendo c-KIT, las cinasas del receptor ephrin (EPH) y el receptor del PDGF. Es un inhibidor potente, a concentraciones subnanomolares (0.6-0.8 nM), de la cinasa BCR-ABL. Se une no sólo a la conformación inactiva de la enzima BCR-ABL, sino también a la activa.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Precautions
Pacientes con insuficiencia hepática moderada a grave, en quienes utilizan antiagregantes o anticoagulantes y prolongación del QTc.
Adverse effects
Ascitis, edema pulmonar, derrame pericárdico con edema o sin edema superficial, diarrea, erupción cutánea, cefalea, hemorragias, fatiga, náuseas, disnea, dolor musculoesquelético, fiebre y neutropenia febril.
