Dosage
Nasal. Adultos y niños mayores de 6 años: Una a dos gotas en cada fosa nasal 3 ó 4 veces al día. Nota: Debe ser aplicada con el paciente en posición de decúbito dorsal con la cara volteada al lado de la fosa nasal donde se aplica el medicamento.
General information
Simpaticomimético que actúa por estimulación directa de los receptores alfa-1 de las arteriolas de la mucosa nasal provocando vasoconstricción y aliviando los síntomas congestivos.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
Administrada por periodos prolongados produce irritación y congestión nasal paradójica.
Adverse effects
Sensación de ardor o resequedad de la mucosa nasal, sobre todo si se abusa de su administración.
