Dosage
Oftálmica. Adultos y niños: De una a dos gotas cada dos a 6 horas.
General information
La asociación zinc-fenilefrina produce un efecto astringente y vasoconstricción de las arteriolas conjuntivales dilatadas aclarando la mucosa superficial del ojo.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
Su uso prolongado puede producir congestión ocular sostenida, causada por un fenómeno de rebote.
Adverse effects
Ardor conjuntival e hiperemia reactiva. En pacientes predispuestos puede producir midriasis, que puede precipitar un ataque de glaucoma de ángulo cerrado.
