Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 4 a 8 mg diarios pero puede variar de 1 a 12 mg diarios (0.6 mg/kg de peso corporal ó1.8 mg/m2 de superficie corporal) al inicio de la terapia. Dosis de mantenimiento: 1 a 3 mg diarios. Se ajustará de acuerdo a respuesta hematológica y clínica. Niños: 0.06 a 0.12 mg/kg de peso corporal ó 1.8 a 4.6 mg/m2 de superficie corporal, diarios.
General information
Alquilante que interfiere con la replicación del DNA y la transcripción del RNA. A dosis convencionales sólo tiene propiedades mielosupresoras.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Precautions
En hiperuricemia, gota e inmunosuprimidos.
Adverse effects
Mielosupresión, malformaciones fetales, hiperuricemia, fibrosis pulmonar intersticial y síndrome semejante a la enfermedad de Addison.
