Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 1 a 2 mg cada 12 horas, ajustar la dosis de acuerdo a respuesta terapéutica. Dosis máxima: 40 mg/ día.

Fenotiacina que inhibe a los receptores dopaminérgicos, produciendo depresión del sistema nervioso central.

Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. Precautions
En epilepsia bajo tratamiento, enfermedad de Parkinson y evitar su uso durante el primer trimestre del embarazo.
Adverse effects
Estreñimiento, resequedad de mucosas, hipotensión arterial, síncope, síntomas extrapiramidales, acatisia, disquinesia, ginecomastia, fotosensibilidad, ictericia colestática, discrasias sanguíneas.
