Oral. Adultos: 65 mg cada 6 a 8 horas, dosis máxima diaria 390 mg.

Agonista opioide que disminuye la percepción del dolor y la respuesta emocional al mismo.

Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas.
