DOSAGE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Dosage

Intramuscular. Adultos y niños: Profilaxis, aplicación de 500 UI de inmunoglobulina, en niños de aplican 250 UI y Toxoide tetánico (0.5ml). Curativa, de 5 000 a 6 000 U.I. el primer día, dosis posteriores se aplicarán en los días subsecuentes de acuerdo al cuadro clínico.

General information

Anticuerpos con actividad antitetánica que proporciona inmunidad pasiva contra el tétanos.

Pregnancy warnings

Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.

Precautions

Utilizarla sólo si la herida tiene más de 24 horas. Ninguna de importancia clínica.

Adverse effects

Fiebre moderada, dolor local, anafilaxia.
