Dosage
Subcutánea profunda. Adultos: Acromegalia. 60 a 120 mg cada 28 días. Tumores neuroendócrinos. Dosis inicial: 60 a 120 mg cada 28 días. En caso de que la respuesta sea insuficiente la dosis se puede ajustar a 120 mg cada 28 días.
General information
El lanreótido, al igual que la somastotatina y sus análogos, produce inhibición de la secreción de insulina y de glucagón.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
Lanreótido puede reducir la motilidad de la vesícula biliar y producir cálculos biliares. Los pacientes deben ser monitoreados frecuentemente.
Adverse effects
Fatiga, dolor de cabeza, vértigo, bradicardia, hipoglucemia e hiperglucemia, diarrea, dolor abdominal, nausea, vómito, dispepsia, flatulencias, pancreatitis aguda, esteatorrea, cálculos biliares, incremento de la bilirrubina, anemia, baja de peso.
