Dosage
Intramuscular o intravenosa. Adultos: 750 mg a 1.5 g cada 8 horas. Niños: 50 a 100 mg/kg de peso corporal/día. Dosis diluida cada 8 horas.
General information
Inhibe la síntesis de la pared celular. Cefalosporina de tercera generación.
Pregnancy warnings
Sin riesgo para el feto. Se carece de estudios clínicos adecuados para mujeres embarazadas.
Precautions
Insuficiencia renal.
Adverse effects
Angioedema, broncoespasmo, rash, urticaria, náusea, vómito, diarrea, colitis pseudomembranosa, neutropenia, en ocasiones agranulocitosis, flebitis.
