Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 4 mg cada 12 horas, dosis máxima 10 mg/día.
General information
Antidepresivo inhibidor selectivo de la recaptura de noradrenalina en el sistema nervioso. Muestra menos afinidad por la recaptura de 5-HT y no tiene efecto en la captación de la dopamina.
Pregnancy warnings
Sin riesgo para el feto. Se carece de estudios clínicos adecuados para mujeres embarazadas.
Precautions
En padecimientos cardiovasculares, epilepsia, antecedente de síndrome convulsivo y en mayores de 65 años. Evitar el uso concomitante con inhibidores de la MAO. Supervisión estrecha en pacientes con enfermedad bipolar. En la segunda mitad del embarazo aumenta el riesgo de Hipertensión Pulmonar Persistente del Recién Nacido (RN); irritabilidad, dificultad para tomar alimentos y dificultad respiratoria en los RN.
Adverse effects
Taquicardia, hipertensión, hipotensión ortostática, midriasis, visión borrosa, constipación, sequedad de boca, cefalea, sudoración y urgencia urinaria. Las crisis convulsivas son raras.
