Dosage
Intravenosa lenta (10 a 15 minutos). Adultos: 15 mg/m2 de superficie corporal/ día por tres días, administrar con citarabina. Oral Adultos: 5 a 45 mg/m2 de superficie corporal/ día. Puede administrarse un segundo tratamiento.
General information
Interfiere por intercalación en la síntesis del RNA dependiente del DNA. Análogo de daunorubicina que tiene un efecto inhibitorio sobre la síntesis de ácido nucleico e interactúa con la enzima Topoisomerasa II.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Precautions
En insuficiencia renal y hepática, supresión de médula ósea o cardiopatía.
Adverse effects
Cefalea, neuropatía periférica y convulsiones, fibrilación auricular, infarto al miocardio e insuficiencia cardiaca; náusea vómito, diarrea, enterocolitis; insuficiencia renal; mielosupresión; cambios en la función hepática y necrosis tisular; alopecia, fiebre e hiperglucemia.
