Oral. Adultos: Dosis inicial: 40 a 80 mg. Dosis máxima 160 mg.
General information
Agonista selectivo de los receptores vasculares 5HT1B y de los receptores neuronales 5HT1P.Su capacidad para constreñir los vasos sanguíneos craneales junto con su acción inhibitoria sobre la inflamación de origen neurogénico, puede contribuir a su eficacia en el tratamiento de la migraña.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
. No indicado para el tratamiento de migraña hemipléjica, oftalmopléjica o bacilar. Valorar riesgo-beneficio en pacientes que utilizan antidepresivos inhibidores de la recaptura de serotonina y noradrenalina. En dado caso utilizarlos en forma intermitente y no simultánea.
Adverse effects
Sequedad bucal, sudoración, astenia, dolor, opresión, somnolencia, mareos, parestesia, hipertonía muscular, cefalea, bochornos, palpitaciones, taquicardia, miastenia, mialgias.
