Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 400 mg cada 12 horas. Se debe administrar por lo menos 2 horas antes de los alimentos y no se deben consumir alimentos una hora después de la dosis.
General information
Inhibidor de la Bcr-Abl kinasa. Inhibe la proliferación de las lineas celulares leucémicas derivadas de pacientes con leucemia mieloide crónica positivas a cromosoma Filadelmia.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Precautions
En pacientes que desarrollan mielosupresión durante el tratamiento, vigilancia hematológica quincenal o mensual y disminuir o suspender temporalmente el tratamiento. En pacientes que tienen o pueden desarrollar prolongación del QT. Corregir hipomagnesemia e hipokalemia antes de iniciar el tratamiento. Evitar jugo de toronja y otros alimentos que inhiben el CYP3A4. Intolerancia grave a la lactosa o galactosa. Pacientes con insuficiencia hepática.
Adverse effects
Anorexia, alopecia, eritema y astenia, urticaria, prurito, náusea, cefalea, fatiga, estreñimiento, diarrea, dolor óseo generalizado, artralgias, espasmos musculares y edema periférico. Trombocitopenia, anemia y neutropenia. Derrame pleural, derrame pericárdico, hemorrágia gastrointestinal y del sistema nervioso central. Neumonía, infecciones del tracto urinario, hipercalcemia, insomnio, ansiedad, alteración del gusto, alargamiento del QT y disminución de la agudeza visual.
