Dosage
Intravenosa. Adultos: 2 mg/m2 de superficie corporal, por vía endovenosa/ diarios por cinco días ó 10 a 20 mg/m2 de superficie corporal como dosis única. Se suspenderá el tratamiento si la cuenta leucocitaria es menor de 3,000/mm3 o si las plaquetas están por debajo de 75,000/mm3.
General information
Forma enlaces cruzados entre las hélices DNA lo que produce una inhibición de la síntesis del mismo. También inhibe la síntesis del RNA y de proteínas en menor cantidad.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Adverse effects
Leucopenia y trombocitopenia. Náusea, vómito, diarrea, estomatitis, dermatitis, fiebre y malestar, fibrosis y edema pulmonar, neumonía intersticial, sindrome urémico, insuficiencia renal.
