Dosage
Oral. Adultos y niños: Amibiasis quistes y trofozoítos: 7.5 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 12 horas por 3 días. Helmintiasis: 7.5 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 12 horas por 3 días. Tricomoniasis: 7.5 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 12 horas por 3 días. Giardiasis: 7.5 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 12 horas por 3 días. Fasciolosis: 7.5 mg/kg de peso corporal cada 12 horas por 7 días.
General information
Medicamento con actividad contra protozoarios, helmintos y bacterias, que inhibe la síntesis de nucleósidos del ADN del parásito.
Pregnancy warnings
Son evidentes las anormalidades en fetos humanos. Deben prevalecer los factores de riesgo, sobre los pretendidos “beneficios” del fármaco a prescribir. Contraindicado en el embarazo.
Precautions
En menores de dos años y lactancia.
Adverse effects
Dolor abdominal, diarrea, mareo, cefalea y náusea. Embriotoxicidad.
