Dosage
Oral. Adultos: Una dosis equivale a 600 mg/día en una sola toma. Niños: 10 a 20 mg/kg de peso corporal/día en una sola toma, equivalente a una dosis. Dosis máxima: 600 mg por día. De 3 meses a 1 año: 5 mg/kg de peso corporal/día. Fase intensiva. De lunes a sábado hasta completar 60 dosis. Fase de sostén: Intermitente dos veces por semana, lunes y jueves o martes y viernes, hasta completar 30 dosis.

Interfiere con la RNA polimerasa de los organismos infectantes.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.

Adverse effects
Trombocitopenia, anemia, cefalea, somnolencia, ataxia, náusea, vómito, diarrea, úlceras en mucosas, hepatotoxicidad, hiperuricemia.
