General information

Esteroide sintético con actividad estrogénica, progestacional y androgénica débiles, que inhibe la secreción de hormona luteinizante y folículo estimulante, lo que suprime los síntomas vasomotores y disminuye la resequedad vaginal e inhibe la pérdida ósea.

Pregnancy warnings

Son evidentes las anormalidades en fetos humanos. Deben prevalecer los factores de riesgo, sobre los pretendidos “beneficios” del fármaco a prescribir. Contraindicado en el embarazo.

Adverse effects

Aumento de peso, mareo, dermatosis seborreica, sangrado vaginal, cefalea, alteraciones gastrointestinales, hirsutismo facial, edema pretibial, elevación de transaminasas, intolerancia a la glucosa, alteraciones en lípidos séricos.
