DOSAGE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Dosage

Oral. Adultos: 500 a 1500 mg/día, por 10 días, en intoxicaciones. Niños: 30 a 40 mg/kg de peso corporal/día, durante 10 días.

General information

Antídoto quelante de metales pesados, con los cuales forma complejos estables y solubles que se excretan con mayor facilidad por orina.

Pregnancy warnings

Se carece de estudios actuales que fundamenten factores de riesgo. Lo anterior hace considerar que EN CADA CASO, se tome en cuenta lo anotado en los puntos D o X.

Precautions

No administrarse conjuntamente con sales de oro, antimaláricos, inmunosupresores o fenilbutazona, debido a que puede causar reacciones adversas renales y hematológicas graves.

Adverse effects

Reacciones de hipersensibilidad inmediata, anorexia, náusea, vómito, dolor epigástrico, diarrea, dispepsia.
