Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 500 mg cada 24 horas.
General information
Ejerce su mecanismo de acción al inhibir la síntesis proteica de las bacterias al unirse en el sitio P de la subunidad ribosomal 50’ s, evitando así las reacciones de traslocación de péptidos.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
En pacientes que presenten prolongación del intervalo QT y arritmias.
Adverse effects
Diarrea, heces blandas, malestar abdominal, náuseas, vómito y flatulencia.
