Dosage
Oral. Adultos: De 1 a 2 g/día, dividir dosis cada 6 horas. Niños de 1 mes a 10 años: 25 a 50 mg/kg de peso corporal/día, en dosis dividida cada 6 horas. Neonatos. 5 a 8 mg/kg de peso corporal/día cada 6 horas. Intravenosa o intramuscular. Adultos y niños mayores de 40 kg: 250 a 500 mg cada 6 horas. Niños: Neonatos: 5 a 8 mg/kg de peso corporal/día, dividir dosis cada 6 horas.
General information
Inhibe la síntesis de la pared celular bacteriana durante multiplicación activa.
Pregnancy warnings
Sin riesgo para el feto. Se carece de estudios clínicos adecuados para mujeres embarazadas.
Adverse effects
Reacciones de hipersensibilidad que incluye choque anafiláctico, glositis, fiebre, dolor en el sitio de inyección.
