Dosage
Intravenosa. Adultos: Diluir en una solución de cloruro de sodio y administrar a razón de 90 a 110 mg/m2 de superficie corporal en un período de 3 a 5 minutos cada tres semanas vigilando la recuperación de la médula ósea. La dosis acumulada no debe exceder de 700 mg/m2 de superficie corporal. La dosis y vía de administración debe ajustarse a juicio del especialista. Administrar diluido en soluciones intravenosas envasadas en frascos de vidrio.
General information
Es un citotóxico derivado de la antraciclina con propiedades antineoplásicas y toxicidad semejantes a la doxorubicina. Se intercala con el DNA afecta sus funciones e inhibe la síntesis de ácidos nucleicos.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen pruebas de riesgo para el feto humano. PUEDE ACEPTARSE EL RIESGO CUANDO LA PRESCRIPCIÓN INTRÍNSECA ES RACIONAL, A LO QUE SE AGREGA EN FORMA COALIGADA, UN PROBLEMA DE SALUD ESPECÍFICO E INDIVIDUAL.
Precautions
En insuficiencia cardiaca o hepática.
Adverse effects
Anorexia, náusea, vómito, estomatitis, diarrea, conjuntivitis, depresión de la médula ósea. Miocardiopatía, arritmias, alopecia, necrosis tisular por extravasación, reacciones de hipersensibilidad.
