Dosage
Oral. Adultos: 30 ml cada 2 horas, hasta 8 dosis en 24 horas. Niños: De 3 a 6 años: 5 ml. De 6 a 9 años 10 ml. De 9 a 12 años 15 ml. cada 4 ó 6 horas.
General information
Tiene actividad higroscópica ligera; puede adsorber toxinas y proporcionar recubrimiento protector a la mucosa intestinal.
Pregnancy warnings
Existen efectos secundarios en fetos de animales de experimentación. No hay hasta el momento estudios adecuados en los seres humanos, por lo que se desconocen los riesgos de su utilización en mujeres embarazadas. LA TERAPIA MEDICAMENTOSA SÓLO ES VALIDA CUANDO EL PROBLEMA DE SALUD INDICA SIN LUGAR A DUDAS, LA NECESIDAD DE SU EMPLEO.
Precautions
Tercer trimestre de embarazo, deficiencia de glucosa 6-fosfato deshidrogenasa, coagulopatía, ulcera péptica, diabetes mellitus, insuficiencia hepática e insuficiencia renal. No usar para tratar el vómito en niños o adolescentes que tengan o se estén recuperando de varicela o gripe. En niños menores de 6 años.
Adverse effects
Encefalopatía, constipación, acúfenos, ennegrecimiento temporal de lengua y heces.
