Dosage
Intramuscular. Adultos: Hipogonadismo: 50 a 400 mg cada 2 a 4 semanas. Pubertad tardía: 25 a 200 mg cada 2 a 4 semanas por 6 meses. Oral. Adultos: Inicio: 120 a 160 mg/ día por 3 semanas. Mantenimiento: 40 a 120 mg/ día. Ajustar la dosis de acuerdo a la respuesta del paciente.

Andrógeno que promueve el crecimiento y el desarrollo de los órganos sexuales y características secundarias masculinas.
Pregnancy warnings
Son evidentes las anormalidades en fetos humanos. Deben prevalecer los factores de riesgo, sobre los pretendidos “beneficios” del fármaco a prescribir. Contraindicado en el embarazo.
Adverse effects
Retención de líquidos, hepatotoxicidad, acné, caída del cabello, aumento de la masa muscular, náusea, vómito, urticaria, reacciones anafilácticas y leucopenia.
